Sony's Xperia SP looks to be one of the more interesting mid-level Android handsets coming our way over the next few weeks. It's packing a Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, an aluminum trim and a trademark Sony "light bar" down below, not to mention an 8-megapixel camera using the company's Exmor RS stacked image sensor tech.
So the prospect of picking up such a device at a cut-down price point is nothing to be sniffed at. Today T-Mobile UK is the first British network to start selling , even ahead of most SIM-free retailers. What's more, T-Mobile's price is significantly lower than what we'd been expecting, at just £249.99 on Pay As You Go. The phone itself will be SIM-locked, and you'll need to purchase £10 worth of PAYG airtime, but that's still a lot of telephone for your money. In addition, the fact that it's locked to T-Mobile specifically means in theory it should work on sister network EE, which offers 4G LTE connectivity.
Alongside EE, O2 and Three will also be launching the Xperia SP in the coming weeks, as will a variety of SIM-free retailers.
You can also expect a full review of the Sony Xperia SP here on Android Central in the near future.

If you're a T-Mobile business account holder who is interested in picking up the BlackBerry Q10, now would be a good time to head on over to the T-Mobile website. As noted earlier, T-Mobile has set up a registration page for those interested and it has now gone live. You can drop in your email address, which T-Mobile will then use to keep you updated on the BlackBerry Q10 release.
Much like the BlackBerry Z10 launch on T-Mobile, business customers will have access to the device before regular consumers so if you fit the criteria, it's certainly worth dropping your name in there. Sadly, still no word on pricing or availability but I suppose that's essentially what you're signing up for.

That black theme looks amazing. I hope they give the Z10 users something similar. I just like the overall look and feel.

What was the length of time between registration for the Z10 for business users and the actual release date for regular customers? Does anyone remember?

TMO released the Z10 to biz customers on March 11; March 26 for everyone else.

Although I didn't qualify, I signed up for the Z10 business user registration so I could start bugging T-Mobile on a regular customer release date, it was a bit over 2 weeks but if felt like FOREVER!

Yea i agree. That theme is sexy and beneficial for the battery life! Hopefully software update 10.1 has that option.

The Dark theme is beneficial for battery life on the Q10's AMOLED screen but not on the Z10's LCD screen, which is why the Z10 didn't come with it.
I'd like to see the Dark theme as a choice for the Z10 at some point as I do prefer how it looks. It matches the rest of BB10's User Interface better than the Light theme which to me looks out of place on screens such as Settings and Share. However BB10 doesn't support changing themes and it's not clear that it ever will, BlackBerry have said it won't, so that's probably that.
Hopefully the 10.1 update for the Z10 will just force the change to Dark theme upon us for those screens I mentioned and some of the the core apps. Don't think BlackBerry would change the Hub lists to Dark theme though as they seem to think message lists should always be black on white.

Yes indeed. The Q10's battery life benefits from a dark background on the AMOLED screen.
Since the Z10 is LCD based and is back lit, making things dark means blocking light. So a dark background won't benefit you as it does on the Q10.

I've been developing with the 10.1 simulator using the z10 interface.. according to docs all I had to do was set an environment var which I did and dark theme was enabled. This was only the sim though.

I wonder if this will work like their Z10 update where they never sent out emails and then claimed on Twitter that they had already announced a release date...

These "registration" pages are a joke and waste of time. They mean nothing. Either give us real information, like an actual release date and price, or stop wasting our time.

No doubt T-Mobile customers will probably have their Q's in hand by the time an email from T-Mobile gets sent out to people saying, "The all new Blackberry Q10 is available now." At least that is how it works at Verizon.

Ha! You stole my post! It was so ridiculous! Signed up and haven't received an email till this day! As far as that is concerned the Z10 hasn't even dropped yet! LoL

Probably worth pointing out that this is T-Mobile US. I'm with T-mobile UK and got most confused when I couldn't log-in.

After mistakenly pricing pre-ordered units of the HTC One for T-Mobile at $249.99, Best Buy now has it right. The big box retailer is offering the T-Mobile variant of HTC's sexy Android flagship on contract for $299.99. Since Best Buy is a national retailer, the phone must be purchased for those using the Classic plan which means that the device is subsidized (although to a far less degree than other carriers), and buyers will need to put their signature on a two-year pact.
If you were to buy the phone at T-Mobile with the Value plan, you would be paying full price for the device by making a down payment of $99.99 and paying the balance off in 24 months with $20 monthly installments. Best Buy is planning on eventually offering the Value plan and its pricing to its own customers. At this point though, T-Mobile has said that it is too difficult to ask national retailers to keep track of inventory and commissions like T-Mobile does in its own stores.
The T-Mobile version of the HTC One offers 32GB of native storage while AT&T has the exclusive on the 64GB model in the U.S. The HTC One does not offer a microSD slot which is why the device is offered with no less than 32GB of native memory.
It might be that I'm typing late at night, but I think my phone storage actually increased after the update. I didn't have space available for the update, which is less than 700MB, so the system prompted me to delete stuff. After installation I have 1.04GB. Nice surprise.
A tweet from T-Mobile reveals that the Nokia Lumia 521 is going to be launched on April 27th. So far, nothing unusual about that. But the tweet goes on to add that the handset will be offered on Saturday on...the Home Shopping Network. The purveyor of jewelry, dolls and collectables will be selling the phone for $149.95 bundled with a car charger and screen protector. That is not to say that the device won't be offered by more traditional outlets. Microsoft's retail chain will have the phone priced at $149 and Walmart will have the phone priced at the same amount with T-Mobile's $30 no contract unlimited web and text plan. This price is the full retail price of the handset and does not require a signed contract.
The Nokia Lumia 521 offers a 4 inch Clear Black display, a WVGA resolution and a 235ppi pixel density. A dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor is under the hood while 512MB of RAM is aboard. 8GB of native storage is inside the device, which can be expanded using the microSD slot on the model. A flashless 5MP camera sits on the back, able to capture video at 720p. Lastly, a 1430mAh battery is powering the device. Nokia Music, Cinemagraph, Smart Shoot, HERE Drive, Nokia Maps and Nokia Transit are all pre-installed on the phone.
